Ural Cinema

Ural Cinema Studio was established in 1994. During its early years, the studio produced commercials for various organizations.
In 1999-2000, director Andrey Zolotukhin made the animated film John Henry, the Steel Driving Man for S4C (UK). In 2001, the film received two Emmy Awards.
During its entire history, the studio has created over 30 animated films.
Anna Budanova’s The Wound and Among the Black Waves have received awards at IFF: ANNECY, (France), 2013; Abu Dhabi IFF, (UAE) 2013, Bradford IFF, (England) 2014, the nomination for the Nika Award in the Best Animated Film category, 2014; Prize of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region For Outstanding Achievements in the Field of Literature and Art in 2014 and 2017, Award at IFF Hiroshima, (Japan) in 2016, Grand Prix at IFF Cinanima in Eshippo (Portugal) in 2016; Grand Prix at IFF Anima Brussels (Belgium) in 2017, Grand Prix at the Open Russian Festival of Animated Films in Suzdal (Russia) in 2017

Studio debutants A. Melikhova, E. Khazikhanova, P. Fedorova, V. Arkhipova, L. Skotnikova, E. Nevostrueva have participated and received awards at many international and Russian film festivals
